These photographs were selected as a first, second, third, or honorable mention(s) from our monthly competitions and critiques. At our first meeting of each month, we have a well-respected photographer present on a particular photographic topic, for example, macro photography. 

We selected this presentation topic for the club competition/critique at the second meeting of the month and invited the photographer to judge. Sometimes, this doesn’t work out this way, but this is our goal. 

The photographer will also judge photos that members submit in the open category. Sometimes, the photographer will not rate photographs in the open category and give constructive commentary, which is why we call it Competitions/Critiques.
